Fees & Parking
Entrance Fees & Parking
There is no entrance fee for Mount Rushmore National Memorial, but there are fees for parking at the memorial.
When Xanterra Travel Collection® began managing the parking facility at Mount Rushmore in the fall of 2016 it reduced the parking fee and began planning and implementing many improvements to the facility and its operation that will improve both sustainability and the visitor experience. Some of these improvements include the addition of a large photovoltaic carport system, a pay-on-foot payment system, an automated parking guidance system to quickly show drivers where open parking spaces are available, electric vehicle charging stations, tire inflation stations, and a total lighting replacement. Xanterra is also pursuing Parksmart certification for the parking facility and its operation to assure the highest levels of sustainability.
