Product Details
This 15" inch tall statue of the magnificent Friesian horse portrays all the beauty and strength of the Equus. It is made from a blend of fine resins and pure white alabaster and is part of the Open Edition Collection. Sculpture created by Arich Harrison.
Friesians are one of the most beautiful and unique breads of Equus. This breed began in the Netherlands and has been around since before Rome. One of the most famous of Friesians, Bucephalus, was the stallion of Alexander the Great and even had a city named after him. These horses have more recently made their way to Hollywood portraying many of the horses in The Lord of the Rings. Friesians are exclusively black; if you want to spot them in movies look for their swan-like neck and feathered hoofs.
