Follow the endearing story of two eleven-year-old, remarkable girls. Doe Sia is already known for her bravery amongst her people, the Bannock Tribe, for saving a little boy from drowning, while across the world another little brave girl, Emma rescues an elderly man from a burning farmhouse. Emma immigrates to America and West joining the Mormon Handcart Pioneers. When the two girls meet, they form an immediate bond that is tested when the two must survive a mountain blizzard together.
