Banquets & Events at Mount Rushmore

Carver’s Café offers a unique venue for banquets, events and other special occasions. Allows us to create an unforgettable celebration at the base of Mount Rushmore with panoramic views of the sculpture. The facilities are available for reservations from the day after Labor Day until May 15. Whether you are planning a family reunion, wedding reception or international keynote addresses, we will accommodate your guests with delectable cuisine and exceptional service.

Parking

Convenient parking designated for commercial tour buses is available at the entry to the Memorial. These spaces are adjacent to the Memorial’s Lower Avenue, the starting location for all visitors. ADA accessible. A $50.00 parking fee is assessed for all commercial buses and allows access to the Memorial for a full 24-hours including in and out privileges.
 

Gift Shop

Open year-round, this large shop provides a great variety of souvenirs and gift items to bring home after an incredible experience at Mount Rushmore.
 

Carvers’ Café

Dine with the presidents and enjoy a delicious array of food choices for breakfast. lunch or dinner. Open year-round and designed to quickly serve visitors. To offer your passengers with the best experience, we encourage you to provide advanced notice of your arrival date and time. Please email [email protected]. We will also provide you with a phone number and ask that you call us one hour prior to arrival.

NOTE: complimentary meal for bus tour driver and tour escort when paying the $50.00 commercial parking fee.
 

Memorial Team Ice Cream

Featuring a one-of-a-kind flavor, inspired by Thomas Jefferson’s original vanilla recipe. Several flavors and types of ice cream are available, and you can enjoy ice cream at Mount Rushmore year-round.
 

Presidential Trail

Available seasonally from Dawn to Dusk in the spring, summer an fall The Presidential Trail provides changing views of Mount Rushmore as you travel through ponderosa pine forest and granite outcrops.
 

Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center

Located beneath the Grand View Terrace, enjoy special exhibits and a 14-minute film describing the reasons for and methods used in carving the Monument.
 

Sculptor’s Studio

Learn about the tools and techniques used in the carving of the mountain sculpture. 15-minute talks include stories from the workers, demonstrations of the tools and the artist’s working model. Programs are offered frequently each day throughout the summer months.
 

Evening Lighting Ceremony

Join a park ranger in the park’s outdoor amphitheater for an inspirational 45-minute program focusing on the presidents, patriotism and the nation’s history. Beginning with a ranger talk, this program continues with the film “Freedom: America’s Lasting Legacy” (captioned) and culminates with the lighting of the memorial. Program held nightly late May through the end of September.
 

Sculpture Illumination

Year-round, the Monument is illuminated from sunset until 11:00pm (spring, summer, early fall) and 9:00pm (October through mid-March).
